It was 100 years ago yesterday (October 9, 1911) that Jack Daniel passed away. At the time of his death, he was no longer involved in day to day operations of the Distillery as he had been in declining health for several years prior. Lem Motlow and Richard Daniel then became the official owners of the Distillery.
