The release of this bottle was the second in the Single Barrel Special Release series. This particular bottle allowed those who were lucky enough to find one the ability to try an uncut barrel-proof version of a Jack Daniel’s rye whiskey.
Bottled between 125 and 140 proof and released as a 750ml Single Barrel in the Fall of 2020, only 200 barrels were used for this limited release. Chris Fletcher was quoted as saying, “This is the first broad release of barrel-proof rye whiskey here at Jack Daniel’s, and we can’t wait to get it out to the world.”
