This bottle was part of the Before and After set which was marketed as an “Exclusive Tennessee Sampling Pack” and contained a 375ml bottle of 80 proof whiskey before mellowing, a 375ml bottle of 80 proof whiskey after mellowing, and a glass jar of mellowing charcoal. The process of mellowing, of course, refers to slowly dripping every ounce of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey through ten feet of hard sugar maple charcoal.
