The release of this bottle was dedicated to celebrating the art of barrel-making which is an extremely important piece in the process of making Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whiskey. The barrels used to make this special whiskey were hand selected by Master Distiller Jeff Arnett and his team of whiskey makers and these “Heritage Barrels” were slowly heated in order to achieve a deeper and richer toasted layer before being charred.
Bottled at 100 proof and released as a 750ml Single Barrel in the Fall of 2018, only 200 barrels were used for this initial limited release. Then, after aging for an additional year, another bottling occurred. This time less than 200 barrels were used, making it quite difficult to attain either of these releases.
