For the sixth straight year, Jack Daniel’s has released a bottle in the Single Barrel Special Release series. This year’s release is the Twice Barreled Heritage Barrel Rye, and as the name suggests, this whiskey has been barreled two times.
First aging in American white oak barrels for at least 5 years, the whiskey was then finished in high-toast Heritage Barrels for an additional 2 years. After this process was complete, it was then bottled (in limited quantities) at 100 proof.
Although this release was available nationwide, it was produced in very limited quantities which made it very hard to find.
Additional information about this bottle will be provided in Volume III of the Jack Daniel’s Bottle Collector’s Guide which will be available at a future date.
