While it took 7 years to become a permanent addition to the Jack Daniel’s lineup, the Single Barrel – Heritage Barrel bottle became available nationwide in the Summer of 2025. There are a few things that make this particular whiskey different, and very popular.
First, the barrels are toasted for 24 minutes instead of the usual 12 minutes. Then after being charred (to become a Tennessee Whiskey), each barrel is filled with an entry proof of 100. This is noticeably lower than the standard 125 proof typically used.
Finally, this whiskey is aged in the highest elevations of the Distillery Grounds where the most temperature fluctuation occurs.
Additional information about this bottle will be provided in Volume III of the Jack Daniel’s Bottle Collector’s Guide which will be available at a future date.
The Ultimate Guides for Jack Daniel’s collectors and enthusiasts, these books provide an overview and history of Jack Daniel’s family of whiskeys and the many commemorative bottles released by the Distillery over the last 50 years.
